In Central SW Calgary, we had the opportunity to work on a backyard that was all about creating a space that was both livable and perfect for entertaining. The clients wanted a spot where they could relax and host gatherings, and we were just the team to make it happen.
The centerpiece of our design was a custom pergola. Not only did it add a touch of style, but it also provided much-needed shade, making the area more comfortable and extending its use through different seasons. To complement this, we built a custom deck using low maintenance Deckorators PVC decking. This choice was all about blending durability with ease of care.
But we didn’t stop there. The pergola which was retrofitted with 10mm tinted glass to protect against the elements and all the planters were given special treatment. We completely sealed them and wrapped them with painted smartboard. This wasn’t just a random choice; it was carefully selected to match the house’s exterior decor, ensuring that the backyard felt like a natural extension of the home.
The result was a space that not only met the clients’ needs but also enhanced the overall aesthetic of their property. It was a project where functionality met style, and the clients were thrilled to have a new favorite spot in their home.
